Posted: 20 Mar 2012 03:49 PM PDT

Lyricidal over at BBH-Plus has finally come through with a working leak for the 9900 OS7.1.0.342.  There is also a special bonus, he has written an installer for it as well! Keep reading for a link. You can download it directly via THIS LINK.  You will still need .284 installed to make this work, so this goes above and beyond a standard leak disclaimer.  ONLY PROCEED if you have a better than average knowledge how OS file systems work.  Instructions are nicely written in the installer by Lyricidal.

RIM Sued Over Emoticon Input on BlackBerry Devices

Posted: 20 Mar 2012 08:30 AM PDT

Capture on 03-19-2012 20-50-10RIM has yet another suit to worry about and this one may bring a big frowning face with it. Sad smile The new suit is over method of emoticon input on BlackBerry devices. The company suing RIM is Varia Holdings LLC, which was awarded the patent in 2007 claims RIM is infringing in the following:

an input key that, when pressed by the user while in text mode, results in the display of a list of emoticons for selection by the user. By displaying a list of emoticons, a more user friendly environment is created through which users may employ emoticons in their communications.

The suit also names other devices vendors that make Android devices, so its not just RIM.
