BlackBerry Jam Attendees Vote For "Unconference" Session Topics (May 3rd)

RIM is doing something interesting with their BlackBerry 10 Jam Conference in Orlando next month. They are hosting an "Unconference" for the last day of the show, May 3rd, which essentially lets users vote to build their own conference topics. RIM is asking attending devs to submit their ideas on this blog post, their Facebook page, or via Twitter @BlackBerryDev. Here is how they break it down:

On Thursday May 3rd, the last day of the show, we will host an "Unconference". This gives us an opportunity to work hand in hand with our developer community to build sessions and discussions on topics closest to your hearts.

We are asking for your ideas for session topics and to vote on the topics that most interest you. We've talked a lot about wanting to engage with the developer community and to show that we are listening, and this is another great way to build on that commitment.

So, how do you get involved? First, we need your ideas. You can leave comments here, visit ourFacebook® page or get in touch with us on Twitter® (@BlackBerryDev). We'll collect all of the ideas and in a couple of weeks, we will host a Twtpoll and Facebook poll for everyone to vote. You can check back here for updates!

What topics would you like to see discussions on? I'll give you a topic I'd be interested in seeing: "My App is Great, But Now What? – Making an app a business; the importance of business and marketing planning." Or maybe one like "How to Win the Enterprise App Opportunity with Gamification."

PS: You can see in the Jam agenda that instead of calling it the "Unconference" they chose to call it BlackBerry 10 Jam community sessions.

Free Sadistic puZZed App Forces You to Solve Puzzles to Snooze Your Alarm

Posted: 02 Apr 2012 05:47 AM PDT

puZZed5 puZZed2

I have long been a fan of crazy alarm clocks. I even owned one once that shot puzzle pieces in the air and helped my brother get a sonic boom alarm clock. While some of you may have turned to more traditional alarm clocks that only shoot puzzle pieces in the air or shock you when you hit the snooze button qbotron has created puZZed to do even better with your BlackBerry. The puZZed app is an alarm clock that requires you to solve a puzzle before turning off the alart clock or snoozing it.

puZZed3 puZZed4

Keep in mind these puzzles are not easy and will essentially require you to wake up. Sadly they do not offer any warranty that your spouse will not kill you when your alarm continues to blare but it will solve your oversleeping problem… hopefully.

Check out puZZed free in App World. Thanks Jeff for pointing it out via CrackBerry.
