Trapster Makes a Comeback, Find it in App World Posted: 13 Apr 2012 07:00 AM PDT I was kind of mad the fact that Trapster was taken out of App World a while back, but it has made a comeback. The App is available for download from App World after missing for more than a year. The app was removed after some law makers across the country argued the app was just a tool for drunk drivers were using it to evade checkpoints, and putting safe drivers, and themselves in danger. Though they make a good point, I used it when traveling long distances were I was not familiar with the areas, and it would alert me of potential speed traps. Many travelers often find themselves in speed traps that are sometimes unfair to outsiders. The app actually helps you stay alert, and keeps you from speeding. You should not use it irresponsibly to get yourself or others in danger by thinking it will save you from speeding tickets, I don't believe that is the intention of the app. Like any other tool, it is only as useful as you make it be. If you are unfamiliar with the app here is a short description, or check out the video below:

This Decade Shall Be Known As The Patent Wars! RIM and Others Sued Again Posted: 13 Apr 2012 06:00 AM PDT The latest lawsuit comes from a Texas shell company named "Touchscreen Patents". The suit names RIM, also Apple, as the defendants for infringing on a patent for drag, tap, and scroll. The company names the PlayBook as one of the devices that infringes on the patent. These days no matter where you look, just about every day you see news of one of the top tech vendors getting sued for one reason or another. Some lawsuits are probably deserved, but some are ridiculous. Am sure as corporations try to put one up on the competition, they will keep running into all sorts of patent trolls that just sit on these patents waiting for a big name company to use similar technology and sue them.
