BlackBerry PlayBook Coming to Saudi Arabia on June 25th Posted: 18 May 2011 03:12 AM PDT One of our readers, Thamer, stopped by the BlackBerry booth at GITEX in Saudi Arabia and got some good news. According to Thamer RIM and STC announced that they will be selling the BlackBerry PlayBook in Saudi Arabia starting June 25th with full Arabic read and write support. T-Mobile 2011 Roadmap Shows BlackBerry Monza, Apollo and BlackBerry Bold Touch Posted: 17 May 2011 05:41 PM PDT The guys over at thisismynext.com leaked the 2011 roadmap for T-Mobile which includes the BlackBerry Touch monza, apollo and the Blackberry Bold Touch 9900. Back in February we mentioned that T-Mobile was getting the all touch BlackBerry Monza. During the BlackBerry World event we got further confirmation that this was the case. The weird part here in the leaked roadmap is that they have the BlackBerry Monza due out on July 27th, and the Bold Touch for August. The Bold Touch has been officially announced by T-Mobile but nothing has been said officially about the BlackBerry code name Monza. The dates for the device releases:
So it looks like all the rumors we had mentioned before about T-Mobile getting this devices are true. With that said which device are you looking forward to? The dates are subject to change which I hope they change to sooner, because that is a long wait if you ask me. RIM and the carriers need to get it together and release them sooner. It has been too long since they released a new device.

My Favorite BlackBerry PlayBook Accessories – Share Yours! Posted: 17 May 2011 03:15 PM PDT Many of you have picked up RIM's new BlackBerry PlayBook in the past month and started hooking it up with accessories. I thought I would share some of the accessories I have collected since I got my PlayBook or plan on collecting and open the floor for you to do the same. I want to hear about the best and worst accessory and everything in between! Here is my list so far: Bluetooth HID Wireless Keyboard MouseThis is another BerryReview team favorite. It includes a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse in a package the size of your hand. Better yet it is selling for a relatively inexpensive $37.95 + $3.47 shipping on Amazon. DODOcase for the BlackBerry PlayBook – $59.95Nate let me know about this DODOcase which he is reviewing soon and it really tickled my fancy. I plan on picking one up soon to check it out. MicroHDMI Cable for the BlackBerry PlayBookThe team spotted this slick deal on a MicroHDMI cable for about $3-4 shipped on Amazon. It works like a charm and a MicroHDMI cable is a must have for all BlackBerry PlayBook owners. Inexpensive GTMax PlayBook Case with Stand and Screen protectorThis GTMax case for the BlackBerry PlayBook is Luis's favorite accessory. He has been sporting it since the launch of the device. For $9.99 + $2.98 shipping it is a pretty sweet deal for an inexpensive case. 3 Pack Anti Glare Matte Screen Protector Film GuardIf you simply need a screen protector to cut down the glare on the BlackBerry PlayBook these fit the bill nicely. iShoppingdeals has a three pack of screen protectors in matte for $9.99 with $2.97 shipping on Amazon. WordRival UI Gets a Facelift in v1.3.1 Posted: 17 May 2011 10:55 AM PDT I was actually thinking about WordRival when I was at BlackBerry World last week. With developers showing off how you can use the new BlackBerry Social Platform to integrate chat into existing applications I immediately thought out WordRival as a candidate. It has been awhile since I last played the Scrabble-like multiplayer game but the chat function was sorely needing a redesign. Mac @PocketBerry noticed that WordRival has been update to v1.3.1 which brings a nicer UI and menu along with improved functionality. I am really hoping that Aztux manages to integrate BBM chat into their app which would be really cool. Until then you can pick up a free trial of the game at www.aztux.com or the full version of WordRival in the store for $4.99 ($3.99 on sale) If you liked this article, you might find these interesting:

Tungle.me Calendar App Now Available for the BlackBerry PlayBook Posted: 17 May 2011 09:50 AM PDT Back in April RIM acquired Tungle.me and I was kind of curious what they would do with it. Tungle.me was a startup trying to bring social calendaring to the masses with shared calendars and more. They released a official client for BlackBerry smartphones a little before their acquisition though it was in beta for awhile. Zach @TheBerryFix noticed that they now also have a BlackBerry PlayBook client available. So far both apps have not been getting the best of reviews but still the idea of a cross platform shared calendar both inside and outside companies is something I can see RIM considering to integrate into the BlackBerry platform. They offer integration and sync across platforms like Outlook, BlackBerry, Google Calendar, Apple iCal, Entourage, Lotus Notes, Yahoo, and Windows Live. Check out the apps below and let us know what you think: Thanks Tashanna for the tip! If you liked this article, you might find these interesting:

Reset BlackBerry PlayBook App World Cache With this Shortcut Posted: 17 May 2011 06:59 AM PDT Many BlackBerry users are familiar with the ALT+RST method for resetting the local cache of App World in your BlackBerry smartphone. David pointed out to me that this method also works on the BlackBerry PlayBook without the ALT key. You simply bring up the keyboard by swiping from the bottom left bezel and type in the letters "rst". I have not managed to confirm with anybody at RIM exactly what this clears out and have not had a chance to do any extensive testing but let us know what you find! In case you were wondering exactly what this does I would recommend reading my previous article about how App World is designed to be slow. In short RIM caches content on your device for up to 7 days. This should clear that out… hopefully. Let us know how it works for you! If you liked this article, you might find these interesting:

Slacker Radio v4 Released With New On Demand Radio! Posted: 17 May 2011 04:51 AM PDT We showed you a preview of Slacker Radio v4 awhile back and now it is finally here! While I am hoping this new version fixes ALL of the bugs in version 3 it also brings along a whole new class of subscription. You can now pay $9.99 a month and play any song you want on Slacker On Demand. It is what they call Slacker Subscription radio instead of the previous $3.99/month Slacker Basic Radio or the free version. Sadly this version required me to refresh my cached content yet again but other than that I have to say the app looks much sharper on my Torch. There is even a notification bar icon that I am still trying to figure out. Check out the new v4 of Slacker Radio for BlackBerry at www.slacker.com If you liked this article, you might find these interesting:
