BlackBerry Bold 9900 Gets Teardown Video from DirectFix Posted: 30 Aug 2011 02:30 AM PDT DirectFix gave us a teardown of the BlackBerry PlayBook when it launched and now we have a follow up for the BlackBerry Bold 9900. Mauricio @BBRocks noticed that DirectFix has posted a video teardown showing the Bold 9900 in its birthday suit. Its actually quite interesting to watch even if you don't plan on performing open heart surgery on your Bold 9900. Free MagicBerry IPD Reader updated to v3.10 Posted: 29 Aug 2011 01:08 PM PDT Way back in the middle of November 2010, Ronen introduced one of my favourite apps, MagicBerry to all of us. Well, fret not, this app is still in constant development. In a nutshell, MagicBerry is a Blackberry IPD reader is able to read and extract the following database from the mobile IPD backup file: SMS Messages, Phone Call Logs, Address Book, Service Book, Tasks, memos, Calendar and export them. It also lets you split or merge BlackBerry backup files along with editing service books. You are even able to export to a CSV format. I highly recommend this app to everyone out there, and as a freeware, it would not hurt to try! Magicberry is available from Menastep here If you liked this article, you might find these interesting:

Web Reader – Slick Google Reader Client for the BlackBerry PlayBook Posted: 29 Aug 2011 10:55 AM PDT I am always on the hunt for a better Google Reader experience on both my BlackBerry smartphone and PlayBook. The latest I have found is Web Reader for the BlackBerry PlayBook and I have to say I am impressed. It does cost $4.99 which puts it in stiff competition with the capable and free GeeReader app. Still Web Reader does hold its own with some pretty cool features that simply look good.
You can check out more about Web reader on their website or pick it up for $4.99 in App World. They also have a blog post up about their aggressive memory management that should make the app run smoothly. If you liked this article, you might find these interesting:

Slick New BlackBerry Bold 9900/9930 Harmony Advertisement Posted: 29 Aug 2011 06:52 AM PDT RIM has really started rolling out some great emotional marketing advertisements recently starting with the PlayBook. Their latest out the door is a slick one for the BlackBerry Bold 9900/9930 dubbed Harmony. I wont ruin it for you but definitely some good 30 second spot marketing. Still I think they need to throw in some message about it not being the same old BlackBerry experience especially with the highly refined BlackBerry Bold 9900 design.
